Well, heres what I've been dealing with since I rolled outta bed yesterday morning, at 2pm...and It was going to be an early morning rise until I saw all THIS...
WHAT?! SNOW?! WHY?!
I've literally been trapped inside, all day, just drawing and watching movies, and studying of course! But who cares?! I'm not gonna complain about being stuck inside but only if that means listening to some great music all day, and searching for it! I have found a bunch of great songs recently! So here, some Saturday Music to go with my mood today, which is relaxed due to about 13 hours of sleep thank god! Now the songs, check 'em out!
Atmosphere - LoveLife
Florence and the Machine - Rabbit Heart
Grizzly Bear - Cheerleader
Animal Collective - Bluish
Cat Power - Werewolf
I hope everyone else is having not so shitty weather like we are here in St. Louis!
Or what you can try and call a backyard, seeing as I live in a apartment complex. I painted these chairs with my mom over the summer and just never really got around to photographing them until a couple days ago! Im wearing some pants I got for Christmas from Forever 21, some Ann D's and my new House of Harlow necklace, I really adore Nicole Richie and her jewelry line! They are both so amazing. I bought a couple more House of Harlow pieces off eBay and I hope they get here soon because I can't wait to photograph them!
Super Glittery nailpolish, a great birthday gift from my sister Susie! From Milani makeup line!
Well, thats all for now! I still have one more exam to study for and take, work, and I woke up to it snowing this morning even though a couple days ago I was wearing tank tops, sunglasses, and open toe shoes, and *gasp* even getting a little too toasty! Mother nature is so bi-polar.
This weekend was one of the best hands down! St. Patricks day was so much fun not only because its St. Patricks day but because it was my 19th birthday! I had an amazing day with my friends and family and I love them all so much! I have a lot of things to post here soon but for now here are some pictures from St. Pattys!
Hope everyone had a weekend as great as mine! -Katie
Been designing some belts recently. My moms friends son has a belt company based in L.A. so I designed two belts, the lion and alligator pictures below, and one design just for me inspired by one of my favorite designers, Junya Wantanabe!
Now, inspired by the Fall 2006 Boot by Junya Wantanabe...
This belt would be more of a high waisted belt, and I was really thinking of making the back like I did the front with all the different straps everywhere.
Well, thats all for now! Back to drawing and sketching, I'm free for a couple days until I have to take my final exam for Spanish! I honestly don't even know what to say about the midterm exam I just took yesterday, how stressful? Ridiculous? DIFFICULT?! Well, i did my best!
I love the collar on this Oscar de la Renta shirt I found while at Platos Closet. It was weird finding it at a Platos. They usually only have those trendy teenager brands. But recently I've found a lot of good stuff there!
Worn with some jeans and Forever 21 shoes. I usually don't find such great shoes there but I'm glad I found these!
Now, I have to get back to studying and what not! Wish me luck on my exam! Its on Tuesday!
Posts are going to be a bit slow for the next week (if they haven't been already?) due to my exams and a project I'm working on! Don't worry, I'll be sure to make a post about this project! Because it's not only for my blog!
Just a couple quick snapshots before I get to work on some more designs, and more ideas for my blog!
The weathers finally starting to get a little better :)
That means more trips outdoors to not only act like a fool, but to take some great pictures!
Awesome shirt I found thrifting! Its a little too "trendy" but the spiky spike things on the collar reminded me of the shoes I'm wearing and I though they'd look pretty good together, along with some kick ass rings!
Oh, and please make some time to check out this awesome song by Florence and the Machine, called Cosmic Love. I AM IN LOVE. with this song!
